Pastor and Founder
Vivianne Jordan Harmon, (Vikki) a beloved wife, mother
and daughter, after a valiant and courageous battle went home to be with the LORD on
Thursday, September 25, 1997.
Vikki was born March 16, 1944, in Titusville, Pennsylvania to Lewis and Alethea Jordan under the sign of Pisces, emblematic of Love, Freedom of Spirit and Creativity all of which she abundantly possessed.
Vikki came to Washington after graduating from
Titusville High School in June of 1962 to become employed by the FBI. She majored in
Business Administration at Strayer Business School, but her heart was in modeling, fashion
and cosmetics.
After graduating she attended modeling school and was
featured in many local fashion fairs and promotions sponsored by Radio Station WOOK and
national chain department stores. Being an excellent dancer and piano player, she
performed with a small troupe until being hired by AVIS rent-a-car as a Poise, Charm &
Grooming instructor. There she met her husband in 1968 and subsequently married 3 months
later in December.
She gave up her modeling, cosmetics and fashion
aspirations to become a wife and mother of a son. She reentered the business world and
became an Administrator for 18 years with Bechtel Corporation, Computer Services division.
She retired in 1994 and returned full time to her love for cosmetics and fashion and
became the Business Manger for Elizabeth Arden cosmetics at Lord & Taylor Lake Forest
Mall.
Vikki was a Den mother, a Cub Master and Boy Scout
mother. She supported and actively participated in youth development programs including;
Adventure-In-Science, Kite Flying, Little League, Rocket Launches at Bureau Of Standards,
Computer and Science fairs by Departments of Army and Navy and supported ROTC. She was a
week-end site manager for Bechtel's youth development in Science Programs.
She was a member of the Montgomery Village Woman's Club, a member of the Eastern Star and Gaithersburg Lioness Club. She faithfully attended church services here at the church she dearly loved and flowed with the rhythmic manifesting presence of the Holy Spirit.
Vikki will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 29 years David E. Harmon; one son David Jordan Harmon, mother Alethea Jordan Wells; three sisters, Easter Bates of Silver Spring, Maryland; Eloise Baylis of Detroit Michigan; Elaine Perkins of Detroit Michigan and one brother Arland Jordan of Meadville, Pennsylvania. And yes, there are a host of friends who will also miss her dearly.

Acknowledgment

Perhaps you sent a lovely card, or sat
quietly in a chair. Perhaps you sent beautiful flowers; if so we saw them there. Perhaps
you spoke the kindest words, that a friend could say. Perhaps you were not there at all,
just thought of us that day. Perhaps you rendered a service unseen, near at hand or from
afar. Whatever you did to console our hearts, we thank you very much.
Love and God Bless The Family
